This is a two-day designation course offering a unique opportunity to develop the essential skills needed to guide adults age 50+ through the sale of a family home, a transition to a new residence, or a move to a senior living community. Topics covered include: • Identifying the impact of generational demographics • Developing and maintaining effective relationship marketing skills • Distinguishing the key differences among housing and senior living options • Understanding the implications of tax laws, probate, and estate planning. This course is approved as an ABR® elective course.

Mark Worrilow

Mark is a retired naval officer and 27+ year career REALTOR®. Experienced in the classroom, he started his teaching career as an instructor in the Navy and followed on as an instructor and mentor for soccer referees. Over the last 19+ years he has been a licensed real estate instructor in pre-licensing, CE/PLE classes and NAR certifications and designations. In early 2022, he was asked by NAR to make a video with the AR President and an executive from the VA on purchasing with VA loans (https://www.nar.realtor/videos/va-home-loans-part-2-reducing-barriers-for-va-borrowers). Additionally, he taught a national MRP class in October 2024 at the request of REBAC. His education philosophy is to make classes participatory in nature; encouraging discussion and avoiding just lecturing. Mark believes that classroom engagement by students allows for both a better learning environment and an opportunity to be a student himself. Mark is “Dad” to a 90+ pound German shepherd (Gibbs) as well as Gibb’s’ 2 cat brothers and husband to a wonderful wife (Kathy). Together, Mark and Kathy have 4 sons, 4 daughters-in-law and 8 grandchildren. When not instructing, mentoring or working with clients, he likes to read, cook and use his smoker and is also an expert in losing golf balls and fishing lures.
