Jon graduated from the College of William and Mary and the University of Richmond School of Law, then clerked for a judge before starting at a large claims administration law firm. After spending several years with Virginia REALTORS®, he worked at a settlement company in the Fredericksburg area and gained valuable experience before coming back to VAR. He likes to cook and play music in his spare time, which is a rare commodity with two sons running around his house. He and his wife, Mandy, reside with their boys in Mechanicsville.

    Laws change. Do you know what new statutes the General Assembly has enacted or the new regulations that affect your business? This course offers the most up-to-date Virginia law changes and board regulations. Using case studies, it will offer you a better understanding of how the law applies to you and how it protects both your interests and the interests of your clients.

    Doug Wolfe is a principal broker/owner and is a member of the Hampton Roads Realtors Association. He has over 26 years of real estate experience, has seven designations, and is an advocate for REALTOR® education. He is a tenured instructor of the Virginia REALTORS® GRI program, and teaches SRES and Code of Ethics courses for local associations.

    He is passionate about educating the next generation of real estate professionals. He states that his main goal is to help other REALTORS® look outside the box when it comes to working with buyers and sellers to achieve amazing results.

In the afternoon of June 11th, Erin Kormann Virginia REALTORS® SVP of Legal Operations & Legislative Counsel, will be going live on a virtual class to review and discuss the important VRLTA updates you need to know. You'll want to tune in LIVE since Erin will be hosting a real-time Q&A at the conclusion of the session. 

    This class will be provided after the live session along with supporting documents that will help you in your business. 

    NOTE: This is an annual requirement for maintaining the Virginia REALTORS® property management certification, PM Certified.

    Erin Kormann joined Virginia REALTORS® in 2015 and currently serves as SVP of Legal Operations & Legislative Counsel.

    Erin works with the Government Relations Team to research potential legislative issues, draft legislation, and provide testimony during the legislative session. She also leads our team of attorneys as their Senior Vice President. In addition these roles, Erin serves as staff liaison to the Property Management Council. Her five years practicing law in conjunction with her seven years selling real estate make her the perfect fit for her current positions. To unwind and relax, she enjoys Italian food and traveling.


    Ryan Leonard

    Ryan is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Washington, DC. He has a background working as an attorney in private practice, volunteering for legal organizations such as Legal Services of Northern Virginia, Legal Aid Society of San Diego, and Animal Legal Defense Fund, as well as experience in the private sector in a variety of non-legal fields. When he is not working as Staff Counsel for Virginia REALTORS®, Ryan works as an adjunct professor of political science at Brightpoint Community College.
