    Santiago brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Virginia REALTORS®. Before going to law school, he served in the Army and in various roles in the Financial Industry and Engineering and Technology Industries. After graduating from American University Washington College of Law he took his experience and worked as a solo practitioner as well as other roles with Engineering firms. He then joined as Staff Counsel for Virginia REALTORS®. As Staff Counsel, Santiago contributes to the Caveat REALTOR® podcast, creates legal resources for members, and serves on the Standard Forms Committee.

    Jarrod C Grasso is the Senior Vice President of Industry Relations at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), a role he assumed after serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey REALTORS® for almost 17 years. Throughout his distinguished career, Jarrod has steadfastly advocated the real estate industry.
    Joining New Jersey REALTORS® in 1999, Jarrod ascended to vice president of government affairs in 2002, serving as the association's chief lobbyist for nearly a decade. His leadership and expertise culminated in his promotion in 2008 to CEO, where he led New Jersey REALTORS® in its mission to support members' professional needs, develop programs, and advocate for private property rights. During his tenure, he earned widespread recognition for his contributions to the association and the real estate industry.
    A highly respected leader in the national real estate community, Jarrod previously served as a NAR Director and Chair of the Association Executive Committee in 2015. He earned the REALTOR® Association Certified Executive designation in 2006 and was inducted into the Dr. Almond R. "Bud" Smith Leadership Society in 2013. In 2020, he received the prestigious William R. Magel Award of Excellence from NAR for his leadership and achievements as an association executive.
    Jarrod was recognized by the Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey with the Good Guy Award in 2016 for his leadership in advancing policies in support of women and families. He is deeply committed to his community and serves as chair of the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health Community Medical Center Foundation and as a board member for the hospital. Jarrod was elected to serve on the Lavallette School Board of Education in 2019 and is currently President of the Board.

    Jarrod is supported in all his efforts by his wife Paige Baran and his children, Hunter and Drew.

This course will clarify how the Code helps your business and the reputation of all REALTORS®. It covers the Code of Ethics, case interpretations, and fair housing. Case studies provide a hands-on opportunity for learning how to apply the Code in business every day.

    Michael Guthrie

    Michael Guthrie is the CEO and Managing Broker of Roy Wheeler Realty in Charlottesville, VA. He joined the company in November of 2005 after being a REALTOR® in Northern Virginia since 1983. Since taking over Roy Wheeler, the company has expanded from 1 to 6 offices and now has more than 135 REALTORS® running their businesses under the Roy Wheeler corporate structure. Michael was named Charlottesville’s REALTOR® of the year in 2009, the Charlottesville Chamber’s Small Business person of the year in 2010, and was the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics Award recipient in 2014. Michael currently hosts his weekly radio show, Real Estate Matters on WINA every Saturday morning. He has taught DPOR approved courses in Charlottesville and throughout Virginia.

When he is not working as Staff Counsel for Virginia REALTORS®, Ryan works as an adjunct professor of political science at Brightpoint Community College.

    Craig Grant wears many hats. He is the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) of NAR’s upcoming rebuild of ePro. He was named 2023 RIS Media Newsmaker as an Industry Futurist and engages in over 150 in-person & virtual speaking engagements around the world each year--including sessions for NAR, several state conventions, and other key industry events. Craig is considered one of the most sought-after technology, marketing, and cybersecurity speakers around.
